REACHY traverses warehouse and manufacturing environments using 3D LiDAR placed on top of the robot in parallel with a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm.
While many AGV/AMR vendors use SLAM for navigation, BALYO has perfected the use of this technology specifically for warehouses and manufacturing environments through years of research and development. This means that REACHY can be easily integrated into greenfield or brownfield facilities without additional infrastructure like reflectors, magnets, or QR codes.
Correlating in real time what the robot sees (using LIDAR) to what it knows (point cloud reference map), REACHY is ensured to navigate with pinpoint accuracy.
With REACHY you can pick and drop over one hundred different pallet types with care and precision into high-bay storage applications. BALYO technology matches the image captured by 3D cameras positioned beneath the forks with a 3D model of a reference pallet stored within the robot’s memory.
